HAMPTON DVD NIGHT - Friday 24th October at 7.30pm

"Into Great Silence” is a documentary film, directed by Philip Groning that was released in 2005 and received great acclaim.  It is an intimate portrayal of the everyday lives of Carthusian monks of the Grande Chartreuse, a monastery high in the Frenche Alps (Chartreuse Mountains).  It will be a good way to start reflecting on the topic of this coming Church year, dedicated to consecrated life.  The film lasts for 2 hours 40 minutes and although mainly takes place in silence, has English subtitles.
