Talk : Reading Sacred Scripture  PART 3
What the Bible is about and how to read it.

Picture

with Fr Chris Hayden

How do we know we are reading the Bible as it was meant to be read ?   ...
How can we allow the Lord to speak to us personally through the sacred texts ?

We invite you to join us on Friday evening, 9th May in Hampton for the third of these talks .  We are joined again by Fr Chris Hayden who will be giving us an overview of the storyline of the Bible and some helpful hints as to how best to go about reading Sacred Scripture.
The whole range of human thoughts, emotions and stories are captured in the Bible - nothing new today under the sun, yet what is new is the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, by whom all is transformed.  Come and join us to deepen our faith together,

Father Chris Hayden is a priest of the Diocese of Ferns.  He has taught Scripture and Spirituality, and is currently based in parish ministry in his diocese.  His easy to follow talks give keys to help us in our reading and interpretation of Scripture.

For those of you who were unable to attend Fr Chris' first two talks, Fr Chris has kindly made his notes for the first two talks available and these can be obtained by emailing us or collected on the night.
